This is for anyone torn between a DJ and a live band — a high-energy hybrid that blends both. DJ Gray keeps the groove steady while Stompers horns and drums bring the fire of a live band straight to the dancefloor. You get the best of both worlds: full control over your playlists and the energy only live musicians can deliver.
Built from the same crew behind the Ocean Avenue Stompers, this setup has become one of our most requested for weddings, private parties, and dance-focused events. It’s a flexible, pro-level option with plenty of ways to scale up depending on your vision.
Core Lineups
Trio — DJ Gray (MC + on trombone) + 1 horn (tenor sax or trumpet) + drummer
Full Hybrid — DJ Gray (MC + on trombone) + 2 horns (trumpet and tenor sax) + drummer
Expanded Hybrid — DJ Gray + 2+ horns, drums, plus guitar, percussion, electric violin, or vocals
Optional: Upgrade to full brass band moments on the dancefloor (trumpet, sousaphone, tenor sax, trombone, drums)
Flexible Options
Base Package: Trio (DJ Gray + horn + drums)
Add-ons: Additional horns, percussion, vocals, lighting, guitar, strings, electric violin
Upgraded Experience: Expanded Hybrid or full wedding band with brass band integrations
Typical Set Lengths
We typically perform a 3-hour dancefloor set, with cocktail and dinner playlists included (costs may apply for additional sound system setups). Timing is fully adjustable to fit your event.
Setlist Customization
You’ll receive a questionnaire to shape the music for the night — select must-plays, do-not-plays, and overall vibe. Our DJ + live musicians work from your preferences and build a custom night from start to finish.
For Planners or Venues
We can use your house system or bring our own pro gear (RCF / Allen & Heath / Shure). Horns and DJ are always wireless-ready to move with the crowd.
