Weddings + Festival + Private Events

This is the Ocean Avenue Stompers in full force — our most versatile, high-energy format designed to bring a soulful, brass-powered dance party to weddings, private events, and festivals across the Northeast.

Built around the Stompers House Band rhythm section, this group adds a powerhouse female vocalist and a full 3-piece horn section to deliver a dynamic, fully customizable musical experience. We’re not just a band — we’re a collective of full-time professionals, based between the Jersey Shore, Philly, and NYC, who’ve spent years playing together and crafting one-of-a-kind live shows rooted in soul, funk, rock, groove, and the sounds of Asbury Park.

Whether it’s a 3-hour festival set, a 4-hour wedding reception, or a private party with 200+ guests, this band has the flexibility and polish to rise to the occasion and make the moment unforgettable.

Want to level it up?

Here are the most popular ways we scale the band for weddings and major events:

  1. 8-Piece Reception Band

Our core show band, perfect for private events and wedding receptions up to 4 hours. Includes sound system, pro audio tech, and seamless transitions from dinner to dancefloor.

  2. 9-Piece Band + Ceremony & Cocktail Hour Support

Add piano + horn duo or solo guitarist for ceremony and cocktail hour coverage. We handle all transitions, gear, and sound.

  3. 10-Piece Band with Brass Band Cocktail Hour + Second Line Parade

Includes all of the above, with a mobile brass band to surprise guests during cocktail hour, or parade you from the ceremony to the reception site in true New Orleans fashion. Adds sousaphone and either parade drums or full kit.

  4. 12-Piece Full Stompers Experience

All the above, plus extra horns (for a 5-piece section) and additional lead vocalists. A full-stage experience built for big rooms, big energy, and nonstop movement.

  • Fully customizable: We work with you on must-plays, do-not-plays, and a song list tailored to your taste.

  • Horns on wireless mics: Ready to jump into the crowd, parade across the venue, or surprise guests on the dancefloor.

  • Rotating vocal leads: Most of our players sing — and sing well

  • Professional and flexible: With 15+ years of wedding and event experience, we’ve played everything from rustic backyard weddings to luxury black tie galas.

Want a DJ too?

Check out our Stompers DJ Hybrid page. We seamlessly blend our live band with DJ Gray and live horns/drums — perfect for high-energy dance sets or tighter budgets that want the live band energy without the full production.

Client Testimonials:

"What a show! The Stompers absolutely blew the roof off the joint, keeping the dance floor not just packed but everyone singing along and dancing their hearts out all night long. There was never a dull moment and never a rest between songs. The song selection, arrangements, and overall vibe were like the best concert we've ever been to, but it was our wedding. A special shout out to their arrangements of Pink Pony Club and I Don’t Want to Go Home, learned for our wedding, and an absolutely ripping Tenth Avenue Freeze Out that doubled as both our entrance song and a big club hit at the end of the night. They even let me and my friends (we were all in a busking band in NZ), as well as my dad (an accomplished accordion player), join for a super jam! All night, we kept hearing from our guests how incredible the band was, and we have to agree! We closed the night with DJ Gray playing dance music for the final hour, with some help from the Stompers' horn section toward the end. Really can’t think of a better set or show, loved every second. And now we can go catch them on Mondays at R Bar to keep the party going!" - Nick Corasaniti
